New volunteer mentor orientation at Education Fund

• General Volunteer Orientation
  All volunteers (mentor, classroom tutor, interpreter etc.) attend this session which covers basic roles of a volunteer and an overview of the Education Fund and San Francisco Unified School District. These orientations are held nearly weekly. Calendar of General Volunteer Orientation
• Mentor Specific Training
  This portion is built for volunteers that will be mentors to prepare mentors for their specific role. The Mentor Specific Training will be held:

  Saturday, August 21, 2010, 1:30 – 4:30 pm
  Saturday, October 2, 2010, 1:30 – 4:30 pm
  Saturday, January 8, 2011, 1:30 – 4:30 pm

  Location: Education Fund Office (Civic Center Secondary School) 727 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco CA

• Screening Process with Education Fund:
  
  
  • Proof of a negative TB test
  • Two completed reference forms
  • A photo ID (driver’s license, passport, or state ID) – not a photocopy
  • Get fingerprinted: Education Fund will scan fingerprints at the orientation to do a criminal background check.
